Located in the Town of Lansing in Tompkins County, N.Y., the Silverline Energy Center is a proposed 150-megawatt photovoltaic solar energy generating facility.
The Town of Lansing possesses the critical elements required for a solar project, including a strong solar resource, existing road infrastructure, access to transmission infrastructure, and available land in an area well-suited environmentally to host such a project.
Proposed by a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, the world’s largest generator of energy from the wind and sun, the Silverline Energy Center is expected to begin commercial operation in 2029.
Project facilities will include utility-scale solar panels, access roads, electric collection lines, and electrical interconnection facilities.
The planned onsite collection substation and interconnection facilities will be located adjacent to the solar arrays within the project area.
Study Area, Project Area, and Regional Location
The project has prepared Study Area, Project Area, and Regional Location maps. These preliminary maps are based on where the facilities will be located and can be found on the project maps page.
